Senior Financial Analyst - Fabrication

About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst - Fabrication who will report to the Senior Manager, Financial Accounting as part of the Finance Team supporting the Supply Chain business unit including but not limited to, Distribution, Fabrication, and Cost of Materials for all of Hanger, Inc. This position will own the reporting, forecasting, planning, variance analyses within the Supply Chain business unit. Additional responsibilities include variance analysis and communication with department owners about materials usage and its impact on rate, volume and mix in earnings.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting is required
Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant work experience preferably in manufacturing environment
Advanced-level experience with spreadsheet and database software, including the ability to work with complex tables and look-ups

Responsibilities

Lead the annual budgets, monthly forecasts, strategic planning and variance analyses within the Supply Chain business unit
Adhere to the financial calendar ensuring milestones are achieved with ease, issues are resolved early and resolution communicated
Provide leadership with routine and ad hoc reporting focused on identifying underlying business trends, and work directly with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement; ability to quickly create new financial schedules
Analyze financial and operational data, and develop financial models used to guide business decisions (e.g. profitability by customer/product line, price-volume-mix analyses, waterfalls and bridges for variances, etc.)
Create and deliver formal presentations of financial results to senior management (Monthly Business Reviews, Budget Presentations, Strategic Plan Presentations, etc.), being the finance voice behind the numbers in support of business partners – areas include, but are not limited to, COM (Materials, Freight, Labor and OpEx), costs of operating functions (including fully allocating all of these costs to the business units each period)
Work with business partners to identify opportunities to improve cost structure
Participate in a variety of projects, preparing financial “what if” analyses, and written reports
Provide timely responses and deliverables to requests from internal customers from functions including Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, Supply Chain Technology, Fabrication, Distribution, Accounting and segment owners
Prepare weekly and monthly analysis of certain key inventory performance indexes and other analysis (weeks of supply, turns, volumes, etc.)
Review and enhance analysis and analytical processes and controls
Designs, automates and delivers standard monthly and quarterly reports
