As a Senior Financial Analyst – Commercial Finance, you will support strategic initiatives across the Innovation/R&D, Sales, Marketing, and Commercial teams for the Wellness segment. This role partners closely with leadership within Sales, Marketing, Commercial Strategy, and Corporate Finance, to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and business improvement. This is a Hybrid role in our Battle Creek, Michigan Corporate Headquarters.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in a Finance/Business-Related preferred, or bachelor’s degree in a Finance/Business-Related field + 2 or more years of related work experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, decision making, communication skills and detail orientation.
  • Strong PC skills with an emphasis on Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient knowledge of ERP and other financial planning systems (e.g. SAP)
  • Three to five years of related work experience.
  • Self-motivated, quick learner, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of financial models including pricing and P&L.

Responsibilities

  • Support strategies that drive increased profitability, process efficiency, reduced costs, and overall business performance
  • Partner with leadership to deliver financial and strategic results using Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) best practices
  • Translate complex financial results and reports into clear, actionable insights for business partners across the organization
  • Interacts directly with Business Unit/ Finance teams to provide guidance around reports, analytics, strategic plans, business plans, and targets
  • Works with Business Partners to report, monitor and manage key financial and non-financial performance indicators
  • Performs complex economic/financial research and analyses as assigned for use in financial business decisions and development of business strategies.
  • Handles/leads completion of ad-hoc questions/ issues/projects as they arise.
  • Reviews and translates assumptions to financial budget or forecast for review by management.
  • Proactively recommends updates to budgets/ forecasts/ and helps to identify ways to close gaps/ meet challenges.
  • Helps to ensure timely and accurate monthly financial closing/reporting, submission of results and reviews with BU leadership.
  • Prepares complex ad-hoc reporting and performance analytics work products
  • Review standard / ad-hoc reporting & performance analytics work products and provide additional insights and commentary
  • Frames ad-hoc reporting or analytics requests and interfacing across Regional GBS & GBS organizational tiers.
