About The Position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member in their AWS Industry Sales Finance team. AWS Industries focuses on assisting industry customers with their digital transformation journeys by understanding their specific needs and transforming their business and industry. This role involves working closely with business leaders to develop financial models and analytical insights for evaluating new business concepts, translating insights into operational measurements, and identifying improvements for planning and forecasting. The Senior Financial Analyst will also provide strategic support to the business team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of influencing business owners and supporting strategic decision-making in dynamic environments. This position requires a self-starter with strong modeling skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. Regular interaction with executives and various Amazon business units necessitates strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a robust business sense to independently foster partnerships across all organizational levels.

Requirements

• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
• Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving
• 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
• 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos)
• Experience working with other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
