We are seeking an experienced Senior Family Advisor (5–10 years of relevant experience, minimum) to join our advisory team and work closely with ultra-high net worth business owners, and multigenerational families. This role is designed for a sophisticated advisor who can operate as the lead advisor, trusted partner to clients, supporting them before, during, and after liquidity events, while collaborating with internal specialists and external professionals to deliver a seamless client experience. The Senior Family Advisor will play a key role in relationship management, business development, financial planning, and investment implementation, contributing to the firm’s national growth and reputation for excellence and legendary service. This position requires strong technical acumen, leadership capability, strong relationship management, business development, and communication skills. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong financial planning literacy and 5+ years minimum of experience in a client-facing financial advisory role at a broker dealer or RIA
  • Series 65 or equivalent
  • CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, CFA®, CIMA® or other relevant designation
  • Experience with advanced planning techniques including: donor advised funds, foundations, 529 accounts, purpose and non-purpose lending solutions, life insurance, property and casualty insurance, health insurance
  • Knowledge of fundamental estate planning tools and techniques
  • Experience delivering fundamental asset management tools and techniques
  • Foundational business development skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to articulate complex ideas to a variety of audiences
  • Excellent time management skills and follow-through
  • The ability to work closely with our clients’ team of external advisors, including their estate planning counsel, personal/business tax professional, insurance professionals, etc.
  • Acute attention to detail and accuracy, commitment to quality, and laser focus on client satisfaction

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a relationship manager for assigned clients, driving the implementation of recommendations in the four main areas of advanced planning: Wealth Enhancement, Wealth Transfer, Wealth Protection and Charitable Giving
  • Work closely with Advanced Planning Team and Client Service Team to ensure excellent client service
  • Act as primary point of contact, lead advisor for clients, their families, and their other trusted advisors
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of assigned prospect proposals and client review presentations
  • Participate in all client review meetings and present/discuss cash flow models and advanced planning topics
  • Utilize detailed CRM to capture notes and instructions for the team following meetings and calls; delegate tasks, as needed to deliver service and manage prospective clients.
  • Lead cash flow modeling for clients
  • Manage and strengthen relationships within existing client base, and develop and build new business.
  • This role requires maintaining proactive, professional communication with clients to ensure an excellent client experience.

  • Ensure consistent delivery of high quality service on the team to meet or exceed client expectations and service standards.
  • Wealth management experience with fee-based consulting, tax, mutual funds, money manager programs, insurance and financial planning
  • Design and implement custom investment portfolios
  • Proactively adjust financial plans and investment positioning, as needed
  • Stay informed on market and investment trends, tax regulations and financial planning best practices
  • Serve as trusted advisor and thought leader advocating on behalf of clients
  • Must be team oriented and able to collaborate with internal specialists to deliver wholistic planning experiences – including investment, advanced planning, financial, tax, and estate planning especially relevant to liquidity or post-liquidity.
  • Previous experience with business owners, liquidity events, founders, entrepreneurs, first generation wealth creators, ultra-high net worth and multi-generational families
  • Mastery of various financial planning and investment software products (eMoney or similar)
  • Highly effective interpersonal, relationship management, business development and communication skills
  • Mentor and support the development of junior Family Advisors, service team members, Associates and new hires.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills in a high energy environment to manage multiple priorities
