About The Position

Starbucks Corporate FP&A is seeking a strategic and forward-looking Senior Finance Manager to elevate enterprise financial planning, forecasting, and governance. In this highly visible role, you will serve as a centralized thought leader on enterprise performance management, financial storytelling, and executive decision support, driving clarity, alignment, and insight across the organization. This role plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s end-to-end General & Administrative (G&A) financial management strategy and outcomes. You will lead enterprise‑wide cost stewardship across reorganizations and cross-functional spending decisions - ensuring G&A investments are efficient and aligned to the company’s long‑term strategy. Through strong business partnership and data‑driven insight, you will help the organization make informed trade-offs and deploy resources where they matter most. In addition, you will help accelerate enterprise transformation by bringing modern planning, analytics, and automated insights into how we plan, evaluate scenarios, and support key decisions. Technology is not just part of the workflow—it’s a decision enabler, powering more agility, precision, and strategic clarity. Requirements

  • Experience building effective teams, including coaching, providing feedback and development (4-6 years)
  • Extensive experience in enterprise FP&A, especially in planning and forecasting, depth of knowledge in core FP&A activities (9 years)
  • Progressive experience in financial management including financial analysis, variance analysis, cost allocation, fact-finding or auditing (9 years)
  • Proven experience navigating large data sets, across multiple systems, with ability to synthesize story to executive leadership
  • Thrives in a fast‑moving, highly matrixed environment, navigating shifting priorities with composure and clarity
  • Comfort working in tech enabled finance environments, including modern planning tools, automation, and analytics driven reporting
  • Exceptional business partnering capability with the ability to engage and influence senior leadership. Making recommendations to and influencing decision makers (5+ years)
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and/or projects (5+ years)
  • Communicates with clarity, confidence, and strategic intent, tailoring messages to different audiences across the enterprise.
  • Embraces continuous improvement, experimentation, and new ways of working to strengthen enterprise planning and insights.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end G&A financial outcomes, guiding headcount planning, reorganizations, and enterprise cost decisions.
  • Frame scenarios, articulate trade-offs, and create compelling executive narratives to guide enterprise decision-making.
  • Champion automation and analytics to unlock faster, richer, and more accurate decision support.
  • Build modern FP&A capabilities by developing new processes, tools, and tech-enabled solutions that scale planning and insights
  • Manage the development of strategic plans, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasting, including the consolidations of Enterprise-wide forecasts
  • Influence leadership and make recommendations to executive teams
  • Lead a team of finance professionals in conducting complex analysis of key performance measures to influence decision-making for the company
  • Influence the business outcomes and support executives and senior leaders in developing plans, annual budgets and in the creation of business cases

  • If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above.
  • For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
