About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: The Sr. Manager of FP&A partners with designated corporate functions and Field Operations to support company strategic and financial goals through financial analysis, reporting, and insight generation. This role leads a Senior Financial Analyst, manages projects and processes within assigned areas and serves as a key finance thought partner to business leaders. This role drives informed decision-making by translating financial data into actionable insights that support growth, profitability, and operational effectiveness. Considered a subject matter expert (SME) within assigned focus areas, this position contributes financial expertise in focus areas and to cross functional teams as needed. This role prioritizes resources within their team to deliver high-quality analysis, reporting, and partnership to the Portillo’s team. Ensure performance conversations and Individual Development Plans are completed and followed for direct report(s) Other duties as assigned ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS This position reports to the Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis and partners with the Vice Presidents of Operations and Market Managers. This role interacts with executive and senior leadership, and collaborates closely with Operations, People, Plant Operations, Shop N Ship and Restaurant Development. This role will also work with departments such as Legal, Payroll and Accounting/Finance, Marketing, and Information Technology as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial analysis or FP&A experience, including people leadership
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to build relationships
  • Advanced understanding of Accounting and Finance
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to influence through data and build strong relationships
  • Ability to solve complex problems
  • Experience building operational and financial models
  • Demonstrated people leadership and coaching capability
  • Occasional local travel may be required ~10%
