About The Position

As a Filmmaker, you are an integral member of the Film Team. The Filmmaker is responsible for the quality and oversight of ministry support videos such as videos or student’s ministry and social media. Assisting the Film Director in filming God Stories, and Sermon series bumpers. Completing weekly video deliverables, and having a strong background in Filming, Lighting, and quick turnaround editing. Key Outcomes The Senior Filmmaker, you help deliver against our mission of “Connecting People to Jesus and Each Other”, as well as our three vision pillars to “Raise the Strongest Generation”, “Maximize and Multiply Jesus Followers”, and “Amplify Jesus Online and Globally”. Specifically, this role contributes to that in the following ways. Create powerful visual stories that inspire and connect people to Jesus and each other, amplifying the impact of ministry through compelling filmmaking and editing. Support and elevate ministry initiatives by producing high-quality videos that communicate the vision and values of Connection Pointe, helping maximize engagement and spiritual growth among Jesus followers. Enhance Connection Pointe’s digital and global reach by leveraging creative storytelling, social media trends, and technical excellence to amplify Jesus online, globally, and throughout the next generation.

Requirements

2-4 years or more of filmmaking experience
A portfolio that includes filming and editing samples is required
Proficient with Davinci Resolve
Director of Photography experience and passion for the role
Moderate to Highly skilled with lighting equipment and using cinema cameras/ mirrorless cameras
Strong background and desire to grow in Filming, lighting, and editing creatively.
A collaborative team player who can also work well independently
Spiritually mature to abandon ego when necessary, collaborate with different departments open mindedly, and complete projects with an open mind for feedback and changes.

Responsibilities

Lead quality & oversight of our ministry support videos
Become familiar with quick turnaround editing for social media & social media trends
Be heavily involved with supporting the filming of stories & creative projects
Lead the set up for ministry support videos
Have a strong background in Editing, Filming, lighting and a very strong desire to grow in these things.
Take feedback well, collaborate, and be willing to have an open hand & mind on projects
Respond to emails and phone calls within 24 hours of being in the office
Perform related duties as assigned
Strive to improve personal and professional skills by looking for and participating in learning opportunities including practicing your creative craft.
Attend a weekly service to stay in tune with God and his direction of Connection Pointe and to continue growing spiritually.
Strive for spiritual maturity and be willing to set ego aside as a creative, for the Connection Pointe ministry and creative project collaboration.
