About The Position

The Senior Accountant will oversee the accounting functions for an assigned portfolio while providing comprehensive financial support to all stakeholders. This is an integral role within the accounting team, assisting with key accounting tasks to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for a portfolio of properties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, Accounting or Finance focus preferred
• 3+ years of accounting experience required (Health care or real estate experience preferred)
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with all levels of staff, senior management, and external clients
• Advanced computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, advanced formulas)
• Demonstrated consistency in values, principles, and work ethic, upholding the highest standards of integrity
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all financial outputs

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full-cycle accounting process for an assigned portfolio
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and support schedules
• Conduct detailed financial data analysis and preparing summaries for cross-functional leadership teams to support informed decision-making
• Calculate and post journal entries for recurring and non-recurring expense accruals
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Update Balance Sheet Reconciliations on a periodic basis for reporting and audit purposes
• Review and analyze the general ledger to ensure records are kept in compliance with GAAP (or another specified hybrid basis of accounting)
• Provide general support for the accounting management teams
• Lead accounting and finance projects as needed, often involving cross-functional teams.
