As a Mobile Heavy Equipment Technician, you will travel to customer job sites to diagnose, service, maintain, and repair heavy equipment and machinery . Requirements

  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as Cat Electronic Technician (ET) and mechanical test equipment.
  • Strong problem ‑ solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • One-year certificate or Associates degree from a community college or technical school
  • Minimum five plus year's of CAT dealer experience and ten year's heavy equipment industry experience or equivalent education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on Caterpillar® equipment and related machines.
  • Use specialized tools and diagnostic software to complete quality repairs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and emergency services to minimize downtime for customers.
  • Maintain accurate service records, repair orders, and inspection documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and service teams about equipment issues and repair plans.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures at every job site.
  • Continually developing skills through training and hands ‑ on experience
  • Delivers exceptional customer service while solving mechanical challenges on site
