About The Position

As a Senior Field Service Tech – Fire Alarm Systems for our Service team in Greenville , you will be tasked with respond and resolve complex service calls providing technical support and troubleshooting to Honeywell customers. Additional responsibilities related to the technical delivery of small service jobs, time and work material, and preventive maintenance may be assigned as well. These customers will have various products installed that fall into fire systems category as well as their associated computer systems. The goal is to ensure system up-time and efficiency. You will report directly to our Sr. Field Service Supervisor in Morrisville, NC. Key Responsibilities: Perform/Review installation methods, checkout, and test, startup on fire alarm systems and adhere to plans, specification, and contract requirements. Independently troubleshoot and repair complex issues Program more than one system Perform system back-ups and install appropriate updates and patches Run one-off problems, scenarios, and integrations based on the needs of the customer Program EBI’s Understand and apply knowledge of virtual machines, system imaging, and networking to serve the needs of the customers (may need to possess certifications) Complete required documentation for work performed or other contractual obligations. Proper use of safety personal protection equipment Obtain clearances as required by customer Jobs completed at or under cost (+ or- 2%), under hours for start-up. Promotes builds and maintains good customer relations and assists in contract retention; informs supervisor or customer needs, requirements, systems status, and actual or potential customer problems. You will follow a Monday through Friday 8-hour per day schedule. You will be on a rotating on-call support schedule once week every 5 weeks out of Honeywell's Raleigh, NC office. You will be assigned a service vehicle and a fleet card for fuel, maintenance and repairs for business use.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of proven fire alarm system service, repair, install experience
  • NICET LEVEL I Certification
  • Able to prepare for and test NICET LEVEL II Certification
  • Basic knowledge of fire alarm system codes, NFPA guidelines, device use and functions for fire alarm applications
  • Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to Honeywell
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in relevant fire alarm technologies
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and people-oriented customer facing skills
