Senior Field Service Engineer
About The Position
Vanderlande is a global leader in logistics automation, delivering innovative solutions for airport baggage handling and parcel automation processing systems, helping customers improve efficiency and performance across their operations. The Senior Field Service Engineer (SFSE) provides mechanical and electromechanical support to Vanderlande customer sites, with a primary focus on the commissioning and launch of new facilities. This role involves working closely with customer teams in a consultative capacity to troubleshoot issues, restore operations, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous system improvements. Occasional support for existing sites may also be required.
Requirements
- Technical degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline, such as mechatronics, electromechanical engineering, or field service/maintenance technology.

Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience supporting material handling or automated systems
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents involving Vanderlande-supplied equipment
- Collaborate with customer personnel to perform system maintenance activities
- Conduct mechanical system health checks, inspections, and audits
- Execute emergency and corrective maintenance as needed
- Serve as the primary liaison between customer sites and Vanderlande on electromechanical matters.
- Manage, document, and escalate technical issues in accordance with established processes
- Prepare detailed incident reports, summaries, and technical documentation
