Senior Field Engineer- EXPAT (Guam)

This is a Sr. Field Technician position at an OCONUS location. This is anticipated to be a multiyear EXPAT assignment. The position can be deployed from any CONUS location. The field tech/engineer shall provide full time on-site field engineering and technical support services to site and other related technical support tasks as required. The field engineer will work with fellow LMCO and contractor personnel in reporting status to the Site Lead. The field tech/engineer will perform day to day inspections, maintenance, and operational support with customer, sub-contractor and Program Management Office. Field tech/Engineer will assist military and government personnel to analyze and resolve potential delays detected during operation of system equipment.
Requirements
- Please Note: This position requires an Active Top Secret/SCI clearance to start.
- Experience with hardware, software, network test equipment used to evaluate and correct operational failures (i.e. fiber optic testers, multimeter's, o-scopes)
- Electronics troubleshooting
- Familiarity with technical publications and documentation
- Must possess a working knowledge of general-purpose test equipment, diagnostic tools, computers and computer programs
- Previous Field Service Engineer (FSE) experience
- Experience communicating to Military leadership teams and Senior Leaders
- Fault isolation and problem analysis experience at the sub-system level.
- Technical report writing skills
- Experience with technical drawings/schematics reading and interpretation.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills required.
- Strong skills following established test procedures.
- Must be a US Citizen
- OCONUS travel required.

Responsibilities
- Engineering and technical reviews

- Perform Quality and Safety lead functions as required by the program
- Provide input for daily and weekly briefings and verbal and written reports to leadership and other key functional and program organizations as required
- Unique hours may be required with time difference between site and home station
