About The Position

The Senior Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of data centers and their critical infrastructure to ensure reliable performance and an exceptional customer experience. Reporting to the Regional Operations Director, this role manages internal teams and external partners, including the third-party facilities management provider (JLL), ensuring all facilities operate in compliance with CyrusOne procedures and standards. The position also leads to the implementation and coordination of customer orders, buildouts, and infrastructure changes across the assigned region.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in Datacenter environment in Electrical and Mechanical Infrastructure
  • Strong experience managing and maintaining critical infrastructure.
  • Ability to build and manage a team of technicians
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple concurrent priorities
  • Incident Management – Lead the local incident manage process from incident inception, through resolution and final RCA documentation
  • Experience writing MOPs, EOPs, SOPs, other business proposals and projects.
  • Maintain status and future status reporting on all capacity thresholds within the facility.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25%
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field (equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree)

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the complete Electrical and Mechanical Infrastructure of the Data Center
  • Ensure maximum uptime and reliability through proactive system monitoring, maintenance scheduling, and rapid troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
  • Coordinate with operations and construction teams to align infrastructure upgrades, expansions, and maintenance activities with business objectives.
  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for mission-critical systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifecycle.
  • Manage critical power and cooling systems supporting high-availability data center operations.
  • Direct incident response and root-cause analysis for facility system failures or operational issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, operational standards, and industry best practices for critical infrastructure environments.
  • Support capital improvement projects, equipment installations, and infrastructure upgrades within the facility.
