Senior Facilities Manager
About The Position
The Sr Facilities Manager is responsible for comprehensive management of our multi-building headquarters. The position will drive our infrastructure development projects and will identify gaps in our current infrastructure and build a roadmap to upgrade as needed to modern standards. The person in this role will play a key part in our sustainability journey by adopting green initiatives while achieving company objectives with respect to security, uptime and associate engagement. This position reports to the Director of Manufacturing Science and Technology and is part of the Facilities and Engineering Team located in Torrance, CA and will be an on-site role.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Several years of experience managing facilities
- Proven ability to manage complex systems (HVAC, utilities) and facility projects.
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to climb ladders or use lifting equipment to access infrastructure equipment on roofs
Nice To Haves
- Experience managing facilities in a life sciences, pharmaceutical, or biotech environment.
- Strong knowledge of GMP or GxP compliance and EHS standards.
- Designing and leading projects related to the construction of chemical laboratories
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of all facilities, including labs, cleanrooms, and office spaces.
- Source, negotiate, and manage contracts for facility services, equipment, and utilities.
- Plan and execute facility upgrades, expansions, and relocations to support business growth.
- Develop and manage facility budgets, including capital projects and operational expenses.
- Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce energy consumption, water usage, and waste.
