About The Position

As a Senior Facilities Engineer, you will be a key member of the Infrastructure Operations team, responsible for the uptime, reliability, and strategic growth of CoreWeave's physical data center footprint. You will collaborate closely with fellow engineers, data center operations technicians, and management to ensure facilities adhere to the highest standards of performance and availability. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day infrastructure operations of data center facilities, ensuring the robust performance of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. Your duties will include managing preventative and corrective maintenance programs, engaging with colocation vendors to enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and serving as a technical resource during incident response and resolution. You will play a critical role in ensuring the physical infrastructure scales seamlessly to support CoreWeave's rapid growth, translating hands-on experience into operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in critical facility operations, with direct experience managing or operating a data center
  • Strong technical understanding of data center MEP infrastructure, including electrical distribution, mechanical cooling systems, and building management/automation systems (BMS/EPMS)
  • Demonstrated experience writing and reviewing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documents for critical incidents
  • Proficiency in analyzing data center redundancy configurations (N, N+1, 2N) and identifying operational risks
  • Familiarity with industry standards and codes such as NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and ASHRAE
  • Experience participating in maintenance, upgrades, and expansions of live data center environments
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency response
  • Applicant must either be (A) a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, (B) eligible to access the export controlled information without a required export authorization, or (C) eligible and reasonably likely to obtain the required export authorization from the applicable U.S. government agency

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data center design or the commissioning (Cx) of critical facilities
  • Experience managing maintenance programs through a preventative maintenance system (CMMS)
  • History of successfully insourcing or outsourcing specific maintenance tasks based on operational needs
