Purpose: The Senior Export Compliance Manager is responsible for leading, governing, continuously improving and strengthening DASI’s global export compliance program to protect the company from regulatory, financial, and reputational risk. This role provides authoritative oversight of export controls, licensing, and risk decisions, and serves as the senior subject-matter expert for EAR, and ITAR sanctions. The Senior Manager operates as a hands-on leader, making timely executive decisions when required to safeguard the business regardless of commercial pressure, while partnering effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to enable successful compliant growth.

  • Five to ten years of experience in export compliance management roles.
  • ECoP (Export Compliance Professional) certification required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing export licenses, authorizations, provisos, and government interactions.
  • Continuous Improvement.
  • Deep working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, OFAC sanctions and other export control regulations.
  • Experience supporting global operations and international customers.
  • Ability to review and understand technical data for export classifications for aerospace product types.
  • US citizenship or permanent resident status (if applicable) due to the nature of certain export compliance regulations.

  • Strong understanding of aerospace, MRO, OEM, or distribution environments preferred.
  • Proficiency with export compliance software and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead DASI’s export compliance program, ensuring full compliance with EAR, ITAR, OFAC, and other applicable U.S. and international regulations across all global operations.
  • Establish, maintain, and enforce the export compliance policies, procedures, and controls aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Direct and manage export license strategies, applications, provisos, and ongoing obligations, including complex or high‑risk transactions and government engagements.
  • Actively review and assess high‑risk transactions, end‑use/end‑user concerns, diversion risks, and red flags, lead mitigation actions and corrective measures.
  • Develop and deliver targeted training programs that build export compliance awareness, accountability, and ownership across all levels of the organization.
  • Lead internal audits, investigations, voluntary disclosures, and responses to regulatory inquiries; ensure root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Purchasing, Quality, IT, Operations, and Logistics to embed compliance into daily workflows and ERP systems.
  • Monitor regulatory changes, enforcement trends, and geopolitical risks; proactively advise executive leadership on impacts to strategy and operations.
  • Make independent, risk‑based compliance decisions to protect the company, including order holds, denials, disclosures, and licensing actions, without undue influence.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
