About The Position

R3 is seeking an individual to advise and assist the Expeditionary Exploitation Unit ONE (EXU-1) as an enduring, global, expeditionary provider of exploitation of foreign explosive ordnance and weapons systems. This position supports a diverse team and will provide subject matter expertise (SME) to advise commanders and assist with the acquisition of foreign ordnance and facilitation of exploitation operations in the Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) area of responsibility (AOR). This SME, as needed, will also assist with program management, providing analytical research, develop/revise foundational documents and processes, and performing as Liaison Officer with the broader interagency (IA).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is science or similar field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Graduate of the U.S. Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal or Hazardous Devices School.
  • Preferred ten (10) years EOD/Special Agent Bomb Technician experience.
  • Must have experience working within the USINDOPACOM AOR, and Navy EOD Mobile Unit Staff.
  • Must also have experience working with: U.S. Embassy Staff, U.S. Federal Agency Staff, U.S. Intelligence Community, Allied/Partner Nation Liaison Officers, U.S. Combined Task Force Staff.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must be eligible for a SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Advise/Assist Combined Task Force Commander and staff, and Combatant Commanders (COCOM) with operational planning and dissemination of weapons technical intelligence exploitation products.
  • Develop/Maintain liaison relationships with US IA, and Partner Nations to enable the location, acquisition, identification, render safe, exploitation and analysis of improvised and conventional ordnance that provide time-sensitive technical intelligence to DoD COCOM, and the US Government.
  • Assist with the development of briefs on foreign weapons subject matter in support of senior-level strategic events for US Government Executive and Legislative Branch Delegations, DoD, and Partner Nations.
  • Plan and conduct assessments that characterize operational deficiencies and needs with respect to equipment, facilities, and manpower; oversee development of recommendations / COAs for material and non-material solutions to support the EXU-1 exploitation capability in INDOPACOM.
  • Advise and assist with the acquisition and exploitation of conventional and improvised ordnance, devices, and components for technical exploitation.
  • Provide input to short-range and long-range training and operational schedules to execute EXU-1 support to fulfill INDOPACOM requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned by the R3 Program Manager and/or specified in the contract Performance Work Statement.
  • Perform duties effectively with minimal supervision.
