EO/AA The Senior Experience Designer leads multi-site initiatives and structured cross-organization engagement efforts. This role partners with leaders to re-think workflows, structures, or incentives impacting experience, mentors other designers, and builds collaborative learning systems. Senior designers design scalable interventions for cross-functional and multi-site environments and support alignment across academic and clinical partners. Requirements

  • Ability to form strong, trust-based partnerships across academic, clinical, and operational settings and maintains credibility with multiple leaders.
  • Ability to manage complex conversations with steadiness, neutrality, and psychological safety.
  • Ability to help leaders and teams articulate shared objectives and align on pathways to achieve them.
  • Ability to design and lead multi-phase programs, governance structures, and organization wide learning series with defined deliverables.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, human relations and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to lead full design cycles from discovery through implementation.
  • Ability to design communication and learning systems that support alignment across missions.
  • Master’s degree in a related field or equivalency.
  • Six year’s experience in design, facilitation, or related work.

Responsibilities

  • Leads cross-organization design initiatives by building alliances across academic, clinical, and operational leaders and facilitating high-stakes conversations that surface misalignment and strengthen shared goals.
  • Designs and leads structured, multi-phase programs by developing governance structures, learning series, and change efforts with clear milestones and deliverables across multiple sites.
  • Creates scalable frameworks, templates, and organization-level design standards by integrating numerous data sources and applying advanced sensemaking to support consistent adoption.
  • Evaluates organization progress and alignment by applying lightweight measurement approaches that reveal friction, duplication, and opportunities for targeted improvement.
  • Shapes enterprise-wide communication and learning systems by designing tools, playbooks, curricula, and multi-touchpoint resources that support coordination and clarity across missions.
  • Co-designs sustainable cross-mission solutions by partnering with IT, HR, Nursing Professional Practice, and academic leaders to ensure structures, workflows, and tools are feasible and scalable.
  • Provides executive-ready insights and implementation support by synthesizing organization-system learnings into actionable recommendations and guiding leaders through organization-level change.
