About The Position

Impact XM is seeking a Senior Event Manager to lead the planning and execution of high-profile brand experiences. This role takes full ownership of events—from strategic planning and creative development to on-site execution and post-event analysis. As a key member of our Meetings & Events team, the Senior Event Manager will collaborate closely with internal Account, Creative, Strategy, and Production teams to ensure events meet client objectives and are executed flawlessly. This position involves managing multiple programs simultaneously, overseeing vendors and suppliers, controlling budgets, and representing Impact XM and our clients with professionalism.

Requirements

  • 6–8+ years of experience managing complex live events, trade shows, or experiential programs (agency experience preferred).
  • Proven success managing projects from initial brief through execution, including multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
  • Strong client-facing communication skills; able to manage expectations, resolve issues, and make decisions confidently.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, vendors, and competing timelines in fast-paced environments.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
  • Client-focused with strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and operational excellence.
  • Proficiency with event platforms, digital tools, and technology solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing events with US and global components.
  • Familiarity with industries such as life sciences, technology, automotive, or B2B marketing.
  • Knowledge of current trends in experiential marketing, attendee engagement, and event technology.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CMP) are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of live and hybrid events, trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, and experiential programs.
  • Translate client goals into engaging event concepts and actionable strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and production schedules; negotiate with suppliers, venues, and service providers to optimize quality and value.
  • Oversee logistics, including registration, travel, accommodation, shipping/receiving, and on-site operations.
  • Serve as the primary event lead on-site, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional client experiences.
  • Track and analyze program outcomes to identify opportunities for improvement and account growth.
  • Mentor junior team members and collaborate with agency staff and freelance partners.
