About The Position

STV is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our Project Controls team within the Centers of Excellence division. This role will lead the execution of a major Controls & Analytics program at a large, complex airport environment in Dallas, TX. This is a fully onsite position (5 days per week) and is best suited for a seasoned estimating professional who thrives in fast-paced, highly technical infrastructure programs and is comfortable collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams in the field.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 12+ years of progressive estimating experience on large-scale infrastructure or complex capital programs.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on estimating experience in one or more of the following disciplines: architectural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, controls, or systems integration.
  • Proven experience developing detailed estimates in collaborative, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working in active facilities or secure environments (e.g., airports, transit, critical infrastructure) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with estimating software such as, Sage Estimating (Timberline), eTakeoff, HCSS Heavybid, On Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of detailed, comprehensive cost estimates across multiple project phases, including planning, design, and construction.
  • Collaborate with technical, professional, and executive stakeholders—including designers, engineers, consultants, and contractors—to establish accurate and defensible cost models.
  • Oversee quantity take-offs, cost analyses, and pricing assumptions based on drawings, specifications, and evolving design documents.
  • Review, evaluate, and validate cost estimates prepared by external consultants; provide recommendations regarding accuracy, risk, and constructability.
  • Support cost negotiations and provide estimating expertise during procurement and contract discussions.
  • Plan, assign, and review the work of estimating staff and provide technical guidance and mentorship as needed.
  • Analyze scope changes and support change order pricing and cost impacts.
  • Perform related duties as required to support project controls and estimating excellence.
