About The Position

Applied Research Solutions is seeking a highly experienced and technically
proficient Senior Equipment Specialist within a Department of Defense (DoD)
environment. This role demands advanced expertise in the lifecycle support,
sustainment, and operational readiness of complex defense systems and equipment.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of DoD acquisition
processes, logistics, and maintenance strategies, coupled with a proven track
record of leadership in high-security settings.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen 
• Active Secret Clearance
• Familiarity with Radios/Waveforms and their capabilities.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in equipment sustainment and logistics within a DoD environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership or SME role.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Logistics, or a related field; advanced certifications or degrees are a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of DoD acquisition processes, maintenance strategies, and logistics systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and deliver presentations to senior leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Familiarity with DoD logistics and maintenance systems such as ETIMS, IMDS, and REMIS is highly desirable.

Nice To Haves

• Certifications: DoD Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level I or higher certification in Life Cycle Logistics.
• Specialized Experience: Experience with specific DoD systems or platforms relevant to the position.
• Additional Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to support decision-making processes.
