About The Position

Recognized as an expert in equipment maintenance, performance, and operation. Possess superior trouble-shootingskills, andhas the leadership ability toinitiateand supervise all maintenance activities in assigned area. Ensure all maintenance activitiesare in compliance withISO and OSHA guidelines. Other duties, as assigned by area Manager or Supervisor.

Requirements

  • This position requires high level skills for mechanical, electrical, electronics, and pneumatic systems. Experience with robotics and CMMSSoftwareis a plus.
  • The Equipment Specialist must have a strong working knowledge of computers and basic Microsoft tools, suchas,Excel, Word, PowerPoint,Maintenance Connections Software,etc. Experience with distribution equipment maintenance for a minimum of 5 years is preferred, or three years of experience as a Mech/Tech IV.
  • Must be capable of working without supervision anddemonstratemastery andproficiencyin the operation, maintenance, and calibration of complex high speed distribution equipment.
  • The Equipment Specialist must be a positive leader, with the ability to design and initiate training programs to develop the necessary skills requiredofthe technical staff tomaintaina high levelof competence.
  • Sixty(60)days on-the-job training under the directsupervisionof an experienced Equipment Specialist, or Department Manager. Power Industrial Truck (PIT) certification may berequiredand must bemaintained.

Nice To Haves

  • A technical degree is preferred.
  • Experience may be substituted in place of education with approval based on thequality,and experience, relating to the specific area of specialty.
  • General knowledge of PC isrequired. Must haveabilityto perform activities that require attention to detail and communicate effectively.
