A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST / GEOLOGIST As a Senior-level professional, you are the engine of our business. Your hard work ensures that we deliver for our clients. Under the supervision of the Division Manager or Principal Professional, you will: Prepare and review of work plans, technical documents, and reports for federal, state, and local regulatory agencies Prepare and review of new clientele proposals for federal, state, and local regulatory agencies Develop the scope of environmental assessment and remediation projects from our diverse portfolio and manage them within budget Conduct regular field visits to drive project execution and ensure that appropriate health and safety procedures are being followed Review and approve supplier work proposals and invoices Evaluate/interpret data and prepare detailed reports Assist with marketing and business development Mentor junior staff to assist with their professional development Your people skills are essential as you interact regularly with local and national clientele as well as regulatory agencies. Though you do spend a lot of time visiting job sites and interacting with people, you also make sure to keep up with all your administrative responsibilities.
