Senior Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist Key responsibilities will include: Lead and manage environmental compliance programs in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Oversee hazardous waste management activities, including waste identification, manifests, inventories, vendor coordination and disposal Manage air permitting and compliance, to include permit applications, renewals, recordkeeping, and emissions tracking Prepare and submit EPA Tier II reports, including chemical inventory management and coordination with internal stakeholders Support additional environmental reporting and compliance requirements Serve as the primary environmental compliance subject matter expert for internal teams and external regulators Support EHS programs across the company both at the corporate and individual business level Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation Develop, update, and maintain EHS policies, procedures and training materials Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure EHS considerations are being integrated into projects Maintain EHS metrics, dashboards, and documentation for internal and external reporting. Assist in review and interpretation of existing and proposed EHS regulations to determine applicability and impact on operations Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and applicable regulatory standards This job is posted as hybrid but must be local to the Dulles, VA to report quickly onsite if an emergency requires.

Requirements

  • Typically Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
  • EHS experience with a strong emphasis on environmental compliance
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Experience in reviewing and analyzing federal, state, local and international health and safety regulations and developing appropriate compliance strategies
  • The ability obtain a Government clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a Government clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM are a plus
  • Project management and execution skills
  • Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph preferred but not required
