About The Position

Senior Enterprise Endpoint Engineer, University Information Services (UIS) - Georgetown University. This role is a senior technical expert responsible for the architecture, implementation, and management of the university's enterprise endpoint environment. This includes configuration, security, and lifecycle management for all Windows, macOS, and mobile devices. The Senior Engineer establishes best practices for a reliable, scalable, and secure desktop computing environment, develops and automates processes through scripting, and serves as the highest point of technical escalation for endpoint management systems. Duties include but are not limited to: Architect, implement, and maintain enterprise endpoint configuration management systems (e.g., JAMF, SCCM, Tanium). Develop, test, and deploy complex scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) to automate OS deployment, software distribution, and security patching. Serve as the lead technical expert and top-tier support for macOS and Windows OS system administration and troubleshooting. Establish and document enterprise-wide best practices, security standards, and technical roadmaps for endpoint management. Lead cross-functional technical projects related to endpoint security, new device rollouts, and system integrations. Collaborate with UISO to ensure all endpoint solutions comply with university information security policies and standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 10 years of progressive, hands-on experience in enterprise-level IT, with specific expertise in both Windows OS and Mac OS System Administration.
  • Expert-level proficiency with endpoint management systems (e.g., InTune, JAMF, Tanium, or similar).
  • Advanced scripting abilities (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation of system administration tasks.
  • Deep understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure AD, and endpoint security principles.
  • Proven experience leading complex, enterprise-wide technical projects.
