About The Position

Supports ERIE’s Business Agility transformation, which is focused on implementing efforts to enable the ability to respond to change, learn and pivot, and deliver at speed in a competitive market. Collaborates across disciplines in design, lean, agile, lean portfolio management, and six sigma/continuous improvement to create a maturity and evolution plan to support Erie’s employees toward confidently delivering value to our Enterprise outcomes. The hiring manager will consider candidates for Enterprise Agility Coach, Sr Enterprise Agility Coach and Lead Enterprise Agility Coach. Number of years and scope of experience will be used to determine the level. There are multiple positions available.   As a Enterprise Agility Coach, you'll partner with product teams and programs across the organization to build agile practices and mindset, mature product management practices, mature technical practices to increase continuous deployment, and guide teams toward outcome-driven ways of working. You'll coach teams through transformation -- meeting them where they are on their journey and guide them toward stable, high-performing teams with a continuous improvement mindset. You'll partner across disciplines in Agile, Lean, Design Thinking, and Continuous Improvement to build maturity and create measurable business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and four years’ relevant work experience in complex initiatives and multi-discipline areas demonstrating: Coordinating across Business and IT organizations, Process and metrics development expertise; or,
  • Associate degree and six years’ relevant work experience in complex initiatives and multi-discipline areas demonstrating: Coordinating across Business and IT organizations, Process and metrics development expertise; or
  • High School Diploma and eight years’ relevant work experience in complex initiatives and multi-discipline areas demonstrating: Coordinating across Business and IT organizations, Process and metrics development expertise; required
  • Demonstrates an Agile mindset and working knowledge of Agile techniques.
  • Experience in applying Lean, Agile, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement practices to medium to high complexity portfolios, required.
  • Experience in Design Thinking practices and tools Experience in organizational change management, required.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience coaching Agile teams and programs (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) through maturity growth.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Agile, and Continuous Improvement principles with a focus on practical application.
  • Experience supporting a transition to Product Operating Model and facilitating Design Thinking to drive innovation and customer-centered solutions.
  • Demonstrated success implementing metrics that track agility maturity, team performance, business outcomes, and measurable business value.
  • Experience coaching development teams on DevOps practices, CI/CD, automated testing, and technical excellence to improve flow and quality.
  • Skilled communicator able to influence individual contributors and leaders at various levels.
  • Experience applying change management to support sustainable transformation.

  • Elevate Agile practices and mindset while strengthening product management and engineering capabilities.
  • Help teams shift from project-based execution to outcome-driven product delivery.
  • Coach development teams to improve flow and quality through DevOps, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices.
  • Use data-flow metrics, delivery metrics, and business outcomes-to guide continuous improvement.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation, ownership, empowerment, and continuous learning aligned to the Product Operating Model.

Responsibilities

  • Supports creation of maturity plans around processes, mindsets, behaviors, and competencies.
  • Collaborates with the Director, organizational leaders and product teams to support implementation, scale, and continuous improvement practices in identified enterprise agility competency areas.
  • Knowledgeable on enterprise agility best practices; assesses current agility environment with teams in different stages of their agility journey.
  • Supports Director and leaders in creation of a strategic, milestone-based plan for business agility transformation including tracking progress.
  • Supports coaches to facilitate a collaborative partnership and community of practice with other coaches and practitioners across the organization.
  • Establishes clear communication and storytelling via presentations, key performance metrics, reports, and data; effectively communicates with customers, team members, or other stakeholders. Participates in EPLT and Steering Committee.
  • Institutes the concepts of design, lean, agile, lean portfolio management, and six sigma/continuous improvement practices and principles.
  • Achieves results through teamwork and collaboration; drives results through partnership and learning, embodies learning environment.
  • Supports and contributes to agility education and training program.
  • Facilitates forums to improve methodologies and practices.
