We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and grow high-performing engineering teams responsible for building and scaling software systems that support Robinhood’s global product expansion. You will partner with cross-functional leaders to translate business objectives into technical strategy and execution, ensuring that our systems are robust, scalable, and localized for diverse international markets. As part of the International engineering organization, you will help shape how engineering contributes to Robinhood’s long-term global footprint, enabling seamless trading and financial services experiences around the world. This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA and New York, NY offices, with in-person attendance expected at least 4 days per week. Requirements

  • Experience: 10+ years of software engineering experience with significant leadership responsibility, including managing engineering managers or multiple teams.
  • Technical depth: Strong background with distributed systems and software architecture; familiarity with modern languages and event-driven systems.
  • Cross-functional impact: Demonstrated success working with product, design, data, and other engineering teams to deliver high-impact outcomes.
  • Execution excellence: Proven ability to drive complex technical initiatives from inception through delivery in a structured and measurable way.
  • Communication: Clear, structured communicator capable of aligning diverse stakeholders across teams and geographies.

  • Set technical direction and execution priorities in collaboration with product and cross-functional partners.
  • Ensure engineering decisions align with business goals and deliver scalable, maintainable systems.
  • Play an active role in hiring, mentoring, performance management, and career development.
  • Serve as the primary engineering point of contact for key stakeholders, facilitating alignment across functions and regions.
  • Champion effective engineering practices that balance quality, speed, and long-term sustainability.
