About The Position

We’re looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our User Platform & Enterprise team — a high-impact group within our Application Platform team which drives all user settings and enterprise capabilities across the product, and helps improve our client experience overall. This is a technical leadership role focused on driving excellence in Enterprise user experience, creating a cohesive user platform vision, and pushing for explainability and scalability in our licensing framework. The User Platform & Enterprise team owns our base user platform experience, our entitlement framework and feature flagging systems, and many of our key enterprise differentiating features. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who loves diving into ideal user flows and information display, and cares deeply about building sustainable user-facing platforms which can scale for both mid-market and enterprise customers.

Requirements

  • Experience leading teams of 6-10 cross functional software engineers.
  • Proven experience leading highly technical backend or platform engineering teams — ideally within a SaaS, cybersecurity, or cloud-scale environment.
  • Experience leading initiatives around authentication, authorization, user settings, tenant management, or auditability.
  • Experienced with multi-persona products, particularly building features for Enterprise clients.
  • You think in terms of platforms and systems, not just features, and you balance security, usability, and scalability in every decision.
  • Strong background in backend engineering and/or platform engineering.
  • Expertise in at least one object-oriented programming language (Python strongly preferred; open to Go, Java, C++, or similar).
  • Familiarity with ETL pipelines, data flow orchestration, and database performance optimization (PostgreSQL, Neo4j, or equivalent).
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including networking, compute, and storage fundamentals.
  • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code and deployment concepts (e.g., Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tooling).
  • Experience with observability and monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, etc.).
  • Understanding of security and reliability best practices, especially in a multi-tenant SaaS or cybersecurity environment.
  • Knowledge of Linux-based systems (Ubuntu, Kali, etc.) and modern development practices for distributed environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS platforms or MSP-oriented capabilities.
  • Exposure to audit/compliance frameworks (SOC2, FedRAMP, ISO 27001).
  • Background in cybersecurity, identity management, or enterprise SaaS security features.
  • Experiencing managing tech leads or other managers.

Benefits

  • Inclusive Team: We value diversity and promote an inclusive culture where everyone can thrive.
  • Growth Opportunities: Be part of a dynamic and growing team with numerous career development opportunities.
  • Innovative Culture: Work in a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Remote Work: We are a 100% remote company. Enjoy the flexibility to work in the way that supports you and brings out your best.
  • Competitive Compensation: We offer competitive salary, equity and benefits. Our benefits include health, vision & dental insurance for you and your family, a flexible vacation policy, and generous parental leave.
