Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent technical experience.
  • 4–6 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, automation, or related fields.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in an empowered, team‑based environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with Allen‑Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, FactoryTalk, etc.), Wonderware HMI
  • Robotics engineering experience, including programming, integration, or troubleshooting of industrial robots.
  • Motion control expertise, including servo systems, drives, and coordinated motion platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
  • ELAU/Schneider Electric PLC
  • Experience in manufacturing operations, production supervision, or front-line leadership.
  • Experience collaborating with vendors to select, source, quote, and procure off‑the-shelf or custom mechanical and control components.
  • Experience in ISO‑regulated or FDA‑regulated environments.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and executes moderately complex change control projects, including conceptual evaluation, automated system design, controls integration, and validation activities.
  • Leads complex change control initiatives, ensuring robust technical assessment, design development, documentation, and validation execution.
  • Champions the qualification of new equipment and machine control systems, including Allen‑Bradley PLC‑based architectures, motion control platforms, and robotics systems; supports vendor FAT/SAT to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
  • Implements project management best practices, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Participates in technical design reviews, providing expertise on machine requirements, automation strategies, robotics functionality, and manufacturing/product specifications.
  • Conducts conceptual and feasibility analyses for capital projects to support long‑term automation and controls strategy.
  • Delivers training and technical support to Operations Engineers and Technicians in the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automated systems, robotics, and control platforms.
  • Investigates, identifies, and resolves Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA) associated with Quality, Manufacturing, and Technical issues, including NCRs, audit findings, and process deviations.
  • Collaborates across safety, quality, and operations teams to achieve performance, compliance, and operational objectives.
  • Provides coaching and technical mentorship to interns, co‑ops, and junior engineers.
  • Demonstrates strong technical depth, influencing decisions within the functional team and promoting engineering excellence.
  • Acts as a change agent, fostering a culture of learning, experimentation, and continuous improvement to enhance business performance.
