About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our Tallahassee, Florida office. The Senior Water Resources Engineer provides professional expertise in hydrology and hydraulics engineering, floodplain management, and transportation hydraulics design. Your role Lead and mentor junior engineers in the development of design concepts. Plan and review the production of engineering investigations, planning work, drawings, and specifications. Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for new projects, weighing alternatives and selecting the most cost-effective solution. Analyze technical problems, assess the feasibility of proposed techniques and procedures, and devise new approaches and alternative solutions. Analyze project scope and prepare or oversee the preparation of cost and manpower estimates, schedules and job budgets. Coordinate work with project managers, guides others on drafting and design of preliminary and final plans. Provide quality control and maintain quality standards, check work performed by others. Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering.
  • This level may be achieved by Engineers with ten years' experience since B.S.; nine years' experience since M.S.
  • Understanding and competency of CADD (Autodesk and ORD).
  • Understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic design principles and applications in Southeast regions, preferably in Florida.
  • Good technical writing, computer, and verbal communications skills.
  • May be eligible to receive project management training.
  • P.E. license is required
