Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense. Advanced Concepts & Technology is seeking a senior engineer to report to the Manager of Advanced Concepts. The successful candidate will support the Advanced Concepts group in the discovery, optimization, and analysis of new commercial and military engine concepts, Invent, size, optimize and analyze thermal management systems to support novel thermodynamic cycles and engine concepts, This position will provide the successful candidate with the flexibility to work across commercial and military organizations and make novel discoveries to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in engineering; or a Masters degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; or a Ph.D. in a relevant field
  • Fundamental knowledge of heat transfer; heat exchanger sizing and technology; and thermal management systems
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree desirable - Engineering Masters or Ph.D.
  • Familiarity with commercial and/or military engine businesses
  • Aero engine durability experience and knowledge of aero engine durability technologies
  • Fundamental knowledge of optimization techniques and multi-disciplinary design optimization (MDO)
  • Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
