About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Engineer – Systems Integration Project Engineering to join our Military and Rotorcraft Environmental and Aircraft Control Systems (EACS) team in Windsor Locks, CT. This role is for an engineer who enjoys owning programs and leading technical execution from concept through qualification, working with engineering, program management, and customers. You’ll drive technical integration, manage risk, and help deliver reliable, high-performance systems that directly support Military Aircraft and Rotorcraft. What You Will Do Lead Collins engineering teams by overseeing program execution and providing technical leadership throughout the development lifecycle. Interface with internal and external customers to ensure clear communication, alignment, and support across all phases of the program. Drive program execution by managing technical and program risks and collaborating closely with all Program Management Team (PMT) disciplines to ensure seamless operations. Oversee internal and customer reporting, including risk management activities and budget and schedule performance. Foster strong team dynamics, accountability, and disciplined execution while working independently to drive results. Travel approximately 10% to internal, supplier, or customer sites to support program execution and collaboration. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Environmental Control Systems, including component-level mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electrical hardware, as well as system-level integration and interactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly at all levels of an organization, from executive leadership to technicians.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within the aerospace industry.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and tools, including cost and schedule performance development, analysis, and reporting.
  • Influential and collaborative leader, with a track record of successfully guiding cross-functional teams and delivering engineering projects that achieve tangible results.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
