We are seeking an innovative and talented Senior Systems Engineer to provide engineering support to a team responsible for maintaining and operating a high priority operational system at a high level of availability. The candidate must have the ability to be a technically minded problem-solver, be able to focus on the task at hand, follow through on the prescribed plan, and the ability to be flexible and think under pressure. The ideal candidate would be highly motivated and have a strong desire to learn and have a team player attitude. Other duties include providing inputs to CONOP development, RFCs, and future baselines/capabilities. Responsible for carrying pager (approx. one week every two months) and responding to anomalies. Location: Aurora, Colorado

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with software skills/Web development skills (PERL, JAVA, HTML/XML, C++, SQL, Wiki, JavaScript, MySQL, Linux).
  • Experience translates analytical results into actionable insights or software enhancements.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (systems, hardware, and test engineers) to support end-to-end solutions.
  • An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.

  • Knowledge and experience with Mission Planning system.
  • Experience involving customer engagement and reporting
  • System Testing and diagnostic experience.
  • Understanding of baseline development and delivery process.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to Mission Planning functions.
  • Develop and maintain scripts/web tools.
  • Conduct software analysis and troubleshooting
  • Provide support to Integration and test.
  • Identify process improvements and software enhancements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external engineering teams.
  • Functionally utilize; systems related, discrepancy reporting, and data analysis tools (ex. KIBANA)
