About The Position

SCCI is seeking a skilled Senior Mission Engineer to join our team! In this position, you will provide technical expertise and engineering development support for a Combat Systems Engineering contract. This position is in support of future work expected in January 2027. This position is located in Dahlgren, VA. This position may require occasional travel. Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active Secret Security Clearance
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline, or four (4) years of a demonstrated and established knowledge base and subject matter expertise relevant to specific technical disciplines of the SOW in lieu of degree
Ten (10) years experience with emphasis in one or more of the following: Combat Systems Cyber Security, Ships Self Defense System, Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) class, AEGIS Integrated Combat Systems, DDG-1000 Zumwalt class destroyer, Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense and Weapon/Sensor Combat Systems to conduct and coordinate individual projects
Experience in functional and system level requirements analysis, requirements generation, and technical review
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

Coordinating development activities for engineering systems and capabilities, such as mission scenario development and requirements definition, analysis, and generation
Applying mission engineering practices to understand current mission operational gaps and needs
Conducting detailed and complex system engineering independently
Participating in technical reviews
