We are looking for an engineer who will help lead the development and support of current and future storage platforms at scale. The Storage Team supports the operations and development of block volumes, backups and image management, and object storage. We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our Object Storage team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and operating the systems that power scalable, durable, and high-performance object storage for our customers. You will work closely with distributed systems, storage protocols (e.g., S3), performance tuning, and observability to ensure our platform meets enterprise-grade reliability and usability.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Knowledge of Object or other distributed Storage and how to scale those solutions.
  • Familiarity with object storage systems such as MinIO, Ceph, AWS S3, Scality, or similar.
  • Cultivating your skills, learning languages, and teaming up with an agile, self-motivated group of peers to design, develop, test and deploy software in modern tools and languages such as Go.
  • Collaborating with and contributing to free and open source software communities
  • Solving interesting problems of complexity and scale in a technically rewarding environment
  • Familiarity with concurrency / parallelism models in a modern programming language

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with gRPC
