About The Position

Microchip Technology is seeking a qualified, motivated, and creative Photo Process Engineer to join the Process Engineering Department at Microchip's Fab-4 manufacturing facility in Gresham, OR. Duties (include but not limited to): Improve product yield by evaluating and implementing process improvements Reduce wafer manufacturing cost by qualifying and implementing cost-saving process changes Write and optimize equipment recipes for wafer processing Perform qualification tests on new equipment to increase manufacturing output Analyze results from metrology equipment including scanning electron microscope (SEM) Review statistical process control (SPC) results for process variability and capability Troubleshoot and problem solve wafer poor yield or scrap issues Implement preventive procedures to avoid wafer poor yield or scrap. Work as a team with fellow employees to improve the efficiency of the manufacturing process Write equipment process specifications and reports

Requirements

  • 5-6 years’ experience as a photolithography or equivalent semiconductor process engineer
  • BS/MS degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials or equivalent
  • Proficiency in written and oral communication
  • May need to attend work related meetings or perform tasks on unscheduled days
  • Able to lift 20 lbs; push, pull approx. 50 lbs; carry 20 lbs; sit 60%; stand 20%; walk 20%; must be able to perform activities that include climbing, bending at waist, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, crawling, handling, feeling, hearing, talking, seeing.
  • Work environment could include slippery surfaces, noise or vibrations, mechanical hazards, electrical hazards, fumes or odors.
  • This is classified as a safety sensitive position.

  • The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $70,304 - $205,000.
