About The Position

We are launching a new TeamLogic IT office in the Palm Coast area and are making our first technical hire. This is a founding Senior Engineer role for someone who wants ownership, autonomy, and real influence in building a managed services business the right way. This is not a backfill position and not a large-team MSP environment—yet. You will be the primary technical authority, escalation point, and standards-setter while working directly with clients as the business grows. About the Role As our Senior Engineer, you will be the primary technical authority for early clients and play a role in how we deliver managed IT services. Early on, the role is hands-on and broad. Over time, it naturally evolves into technical leadership as we add clients and grow the team. If you enjoy solving complex problems, owning outcomes end-to-end, and having a real voice in how things are built, this role was designed for you.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of IT experience, with meaningful MSP experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Windows and Linux servers, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
  • Networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and cybersecurity best practices
  • Monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Auvik, or similar
  • RMM tools (e.g., NinjaRMM) and ticketing systems (Autotask PSA, ServiceNow, Zendesk)
  • Documentation platforms (Hudu, IT Glue, SharePoint) and process standardization
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues and manage IT projects end-to-end
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service mindset
  • Adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable in a fast-growing environment

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications are a plus, but real-world MSP experience matters most

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary escalation point across client environments
  • Design, implement, and support SMB IT environments including:
  • Microsoft 365
  • Windows Server & Active Directory
  • Networking, firewalls, and VPNs
  • Backup, recovery, and security solutions
  • Lead client onboarding, migrations, and infrastructure projects
  • Work directly with business owners and end users to assess needs and recommend solutions
  • Establish and document technical standards, processes, and best practices
  • Select, configure, and optimize MSP tools (RMM, PSA, documentation)
  • Help shape future team structure and mentor additional technicians as we grow
  • Participate in limited, reasonable on-call support (shared as the team expands)
