The Role The Senior Employee Relations Advisor is an experienced investigator and employment judgment advisor responsible for leading sensitive and complex matters across multiple jurisdictions. You will exercise independent judgment, operates with principled neutrality, and partners directly with senior leaders to navigate nuanced workplace issues. Reporting to the Global Lead, Employee Standards & Relations, you will conduct global investigations and contribute to the advancement of ER standards, tools, and operating practices through ownership of functional workstreams and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience conducting workplace investigations and advising on complex employee relations matters.
  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree and strong grounding in employment law principles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading highly sensitive, nuanced investigations requiring discretion, credibility assessment, and sound judgment.
  • Experience advising executives and senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, defensible conclusions.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including experience drafting thorough investigative reports.
  • High levels of discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Comfort leveraging technology to support investigative work and the judgment to evaluate emerging tools responsibly, including appropriate attention to confidentiality, bias, and data integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex investigations arising from internal reports, hotline submissions, or other escalation channels globally.
  • Own matters end-to-end, including investigative planning, evidence gathering, credibility assessment, structured analysis, documentation, and defensible conclusions.
  • Apply consistent, principled judgment in interpreting and applying company policy across diverse fact patterns and jurisdictions.
  • Partner directly with senior leaders, HRBPs, Legal, and cross-functional stakeholders to provide clear, well-reasoned recommendations.
  • Identify systemic themes and organizational signals emerging from casework and translate those insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Ensure appropriate follow-through and alignment after investigations conclude, recognizing broader organizational implications.
  • May facilitate complex conflict resolution interventions where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the development and advancement of ER standards, tools, and operating models through ownership of — or substantive contribution to — functional workstreams and strategic initiatives.
  • Leverage technology thoughtfully to enhance investigative rigor and efficiency, exercising sound judgment when evaluating emerging tools, including AI.
