Brown & Brown is Seeking an Senior Employee Benefits Account Executive to join our growing team. The Employee Benefits Practice within the Private Equity Practice Group (PEPG) is seeking a dynamic, client-focused Senior Account Executive to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a strategic advisor to private equity clients and their portfolio companies, delivering tailored benefits solutions, driving plan performance, and managing complex EB engagements with precision. The ideal candidate is proactive, solutions‑oriented, and thrives in a fast‑paced, growth‑driven environment. How You Will Contribute Serve as the primary point of contact for a designated book of Employee Benefits business, ensuring proactive and high‑touch client support. Build and maintain strong relationships with private equity firms and portfolio companies. Advise clients on benefits strategy, market trends, regulatory updates, and plan‑level recommendations. Provide guidance on plan performance, funding arrangements, and cost‑containment strategies. Support M&A transactions and due‑diligence activities. Develop and execute marketing strategies for competitive pricing and enhanced plan designs. Lead RFP and renewal marketing processes. Coordinate open enrollment activities and communications.

Requirements

  • Active State Life, Accident & Health license or ability to obtain within 60 days.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of Employee Benefits experience supporting mid‑large groups
  • Strong negotiation and marketing expertise.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of financial underwriting, self-insurance (Medical/Rx), and alternative funding programs (captives, RBP, etc.) programs.
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • M&A/due‑diligence experience preferred.
