About The Position

At CesiumAstro , we are developers and pioneers of out-of-the-box communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. We take pride in our dynamic and cross-functional work environment, which allows us to learn, develop, and engage across our organization. If you are looking for hands-on, interactive, and autonomous work, CesiumAstro is the place for you. We are actively seeking passionate, collaborative, energetic, and forward-thinking individuals to join our team. We’re seeking a Senior Electronics Test Engineer I - Flying Probe to lead the development and optimization of automated PCBA test programs using our Seica Pilot VX system. This role is ideal for an engineer who blends circuit-level design expertise with hands-on manufacturing test experience and enjoys working across design, production, and quality teams. You’ll be responsible for building and validating flying-probe test sequences, performing CAD/BOM imports, correlating measurements, and troubleshooting complex boards down to the component level. The position also involves improving test coverage, reducing false failures, and influencing design-for-test (DFT) practices across new product introductions.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science (BS) or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or similar from an accredited university.
  • 4 years of experience in PCBA design, test, or manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong understanding of schematic capture, component selection, and circuit fundamentals (analog, digital, and power).
  • Hands-on experience with Seica, SPEA, Takaya, or similar flying-probe systems.
  • Proficiency in PCBA debug, measurement interpretation, and correlation.
  • Working knowledge of Kelvin measurement, guarding, isolation testing, and DFT principles.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace industry experience.
  • Understanding of RF and mixed-signal hardware (e.g. amplifiers, filters, ADCs/DACs, antennas).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and debug flying-probe test programs (continuity, isolation, RLC, powered, and functional tests).
  • Analyze test data, identify root causes, and implement yield improvements.
  • Collaborate with design engineers on test-point strategy and circuit accessibility.
  • Support component selection and perform schematic-level investigations to resolve failures.
  • Document and release test procedures and reports for production use.

Benefits

  • Full-time employment offers include company stock options and a generous benefits package including health, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, life, disability and retirement plans.
