Position Overview The Senior Electronics Technician (ACLS) is a senior field technical lead responsible for coordinating and executing site surveys, site preparation, system installation, system cutover, and legacy system decommissioning in collaboration with the customer. This role supports the deployment and sustainment of advanced communication and electronic systems, ensuring installations meet technical, safety, and performance requirements. The position requires advanced troubleshooting expertise, independent validation of installations, and strong customer-facing skills. The Senior Electronics Technician provides leadership to field teams and ensures work is completed accurately, safely, and on schedule.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D., 16 years in lieu of degree
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a public trust clearance
  • Senior-level experience in electronics, RF communications, or radio system field installation
  • Experience installing and integrating mobile and fixed-base communication systems
  • Strong understanding of RF principles, antenna systems, and signal performance
  • Experience using RF testing and calibration equipment
  • Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Experience validating power, grounding, and structured cabling installations
  • Strong leadership and team supervision experience
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting aviation, transportation, or mission-critical communication systems
  • Experience with system cutover and legacy system decommissioning
  • Familiarity with multi-site field deployment programs
  • Knowledge of network integration for voice and data communication systems

  • Integrate radio and communication systems with vehicle electronics, control systems, or IT/network infrastructure
  • Ensure reliable voice and data transmission performance
  • Conduct testing, calibration, and signal verification using tools such as:
  • SWR meters
  • Wattmeters
  • Signal generators
  • Diagnose and resolve RF, signal, and equipment performance issues
  • Document installation, configuration, and test results
  • Serve as the primary on-site technical interface with customers
  • Lead and supervise field technicians, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule adherence
