Job Mission We are looking for a Senior Electronics/FPGA Test Engineer to lead the development of automated test infrastructure for FPGA-based systems and ensure highly reliable electronics for ASML’s EUV technology. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on expertise in advanced testing and in-circuit verification of FPGA designs, diagnosing complex issues, and resolving manufacturing or design challenges. You will work with cutting-edge technologies such as digital communication, photo-detectors, signal acquisition, and distributed high-precision timestamping, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to qualify new FPGA features, mentor junior engineers, and influence strategies for next-generation semiconductor equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as an integrator and/or test engineer for electronic/electrical functions.
  • Experience with FPGA development, hardware testing, and automation.
  • Experience with automated test frameworks integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficient in FPGA architecture, digital electronics, and hardware validation.
  • Deep Expertise in scripting languages (Python, TCL, or similar) for automation.
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators).
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware/software integration issues.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of cabling, connectivity, and electronic safety.
  • Proficient with version control systems (Git)
  • Familiar with Linux environments.
  • Exposure to CI/CD integration for test automation.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven track record of leading test development projects and mentoring teams.
  • Knowledge of high-speed interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, DDR) and signal integrity analysis.
  • Exposure to embedded systems, firmware development, and system-level testing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of advanced automated test frameworks for FPGA and electronic systems.
  • Define test strategies and ensure alignment with product requirements and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, verification, firmware) to resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of test results, identify systemic issues, and propose long-term solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for test processes and infrastructure.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in best practices for hardware validation and automation.
  • Contribute to technology roadmaps and influence test architecture decisions.
  • E nsure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in all testing activities.
