About The Position

Requirements

  • Background check, US Citizenship, 10% travel, CAC and top secret clearance are requirements of this position.
  • Shall have a related BS; strong preference given to candidates with a related masters degree. Directly related professional experience may be considered in lieu of degrees.
  • Shall have at least ten years demonstrated experience with shipboard C4ISR systems to include design and integration of navigation and combat weapon systems.
  • Direct experience shall include extensive knowledge of Navy SPAWAR GFE systems and their technical interface with installed shipboard systems.
  • Shall have shall have at least one year demonstrated experience with shipbuilding acquisitions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise on a variety of C4ISR systems for the USCG NSC Acquisition Program at USCG Headquarters in Washington, DC.
  • Provide testing support of C4ISR systems.
  • Evaluate implications of planned engineering changes in support of major shipbuilding acquisition and repair.
  • Support may include cost analysis, procurement support, and the review and editing of existing work products and analyses.
  • Editing of existing work products and analyses includes providing recommendations and technical subject matter expertise to the Program management integrated product teams and Program leads.
  • Provide support in shipboard design and software and systems integration for all shipboard C4ISR and weapons systems and the following certification programs: TEMPEST, Information Assurance, combat and weapons systems safety.
  • Provide support to troubleshoot system failures or integration issues and planning/management of certifications and provide resolutions to rectify those troubles/failures/issues.
  • Coordinate and monitor the shipboard C4ISR effort and advise the various engineering support agencies and contractors participating in system development, such as SPAWAR, SPAWAR System Support Centers, and the USCG Program’s C4ISR Domain, COMDT (CG-933), COMDT (CG-6) and COMDT (CG-2) with regard to topology development, general arrangement changes, hardware specifications development, configuration management, assessment/certification/accreditation and C4ISR integration.
