About The Position

A day in this role You start by triaging complex returns on the bench, isolating faults down to the component level across electronic and mechanical assemblies. Before lunch, you are fabricating a complex fixture to support an upcoming test. Later in the day, you consult with a customer about a field issue, run a warranty analysis to determine root cause, and capture everything in precise service reports. Along the way, you contribute to intermediate product development efforts, apply continuous improvement methods, and model our Core Values while following company and customer safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; and five to eight years of related experience/training; or ten years of equivalent combined education and experience.
  • Fluent in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; able to write routine reports/correspondence and speak effectively to customer or employee groups.
  • Comfortable with calculations involving proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; able to apply algebra, physics, and geometry.
  • Strong practical judgment for following written, oral, or diagrammed instructions; able to solve problems with several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Deep understanding of electronics and/or mechanics with intermediate-to-advanced troubleshooting expertise developed through hands-on repair.
  • Team-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and skilled at prioritizing work; maintains a good driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair sophisticated electronic and/or mechanical equipment and tooling at the component level.
  • Support intermediate product development activities.
  • Communicate professionally with customers as needed.
  • Design and build complex fixtures to enable testing and repair.
  • Perform warranty analyses and develop root-cause-based solutions.
  • Complete all required service report documentation accurately and on time.
  • Engage in the ATS Culture Initiative: drive continuous process improvement, quantitatively monitor performance, complete required quality core classes, and apply learned skills and Core Values while adhering to all safety procedures.
