About The Position
The Senior Electrician provides advanced-level electrical expertise to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of campus facilities. This position performs, leads, and coordinates installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure across academic, research, clinical, and residential buildings. The Senior Electrician interprets complex plans and codes, troubleshoots high-level issues, ensures compliance with NEC and institutional standards, and mentor junior staff. This position is classified as an Essential Services Employee. Essential Services Employees maintain business operations for UT Health Science Center and support the physical operations and safety of the campus. This role involves performing various operations and services essential to maintain critical infrastructure and ensuring continuous operations.
