About The Position

Tarpon Specialty Services is a specialty labor staffing firm providing highly skilled electrical trades to large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects across the United States. We support EPCs and owners on some of the most complex builds in the country, including lithium refineries, data centers, advanced manufacturing facilities, and energy infrastructure projects nationwide. Our clients include large Tier-1 contractors and owners operating throughout the United States. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Trades Recruiter to work remotely and identify, recruit, and onboard electricians nationwide ranging from entry-level helpers to journeymen, foremen, and linemen (including high-voltage and transmission). This remote position focuses on supplying skilled electrical manpower for large-scale industrial projects across the United States, including lithium refineries and data centers in Nevada, the Southwest, and nationwide. The ideal candidate understands electrical classifications, union and non-union environments, industrial jobsite requirements, and high-volume workforce mobilization. Candidates based where ever the project may be, in Reno, Nevada or the Southern or Western United States.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of recruiting experience in electrical trades or industrial construction
  • Strong understanding of electrical roles and classifications
  • Experience recruiting for industrial projects (refineries, plants, data centers, manufacturing) and large EPC or owner-led projects
  • Ability to recruit at volume while maintaining quality
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Based in Reno, Nevada or the Western United States. Work remotely.
  • Experience recruiting electricians for lithium, mining, energy, or battery facilities, and data centers or advanced manufacturing
  • Familiarity with EPC environments, and union halls, PLA projects, or mixed labor models
  • Existing network of electricians or trade contacts in Nevada, California, Arizona, Texas or other states
  • Knowledge of industrial and energy infrastructure projects in the Western & Southern United States

Responsibilities

  • Recruit electricians nationwide across all skill levels, including electrical helpers/apprentices, journeymen electricians, industrial and commercial electricians, high-voltage electricians, substation electricians, linemen (transmission & distribution), and electrical foremen/general foremen
  • Source candidates through existing trade networks across the United States, job boards and ATS platforms, social media and digital outreach, and referrals and field relationships
  • Conduct phone and video screenings to verify electrical experience and classifications, project history (industrial, refinery, data center, manufacturing), safety mindset and site readiness, and willingness to travel and work rotational schedules
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines in key markets including Nevada, California, Arizona, Texas, and other high-growth industrial regions
  • Match electricians to project requirements for EPC and owner clients nationwide, with focus on Western United States projects
  • Understand scope, duration, pay structures, per diem, and schedule
  • Coordinate manpower ramps for large projects (50–500+ electricians)
  • Communicate regularly with project teams and account managers across multiple time zones
  • Ensure candidates meet all project and client requirements, including OSHA and site-specific safety training, drug screening and background checks, work authorization and I-9 compliance, and badging and site access documentation
  • Work closely with internal operations to ensure smooth onboarding and mobilization
  • Track regional pay rates, per diem trends, and labor availability across multiple markets nationwide
  • Understand union vs. non-union dynamics and project labor agreements (PLAs) in various regions
  • Provide feedback on workforce availability and recruiting challenges
