At General Motors, our product teams are redefining mobility. Through a human-centered design process, we create vehicles and experiences that are designed not just to be seen, but to be felt. We’re turning today’s impossible into tomorrow’s standard —from breakthrough hardware and battery systems to intuitive design, intelligent software, and next-generation safety and entertainment features. Every day, our products move millions of people as we aim to make driving safer, smarter, and more connected, shaping the future of transportation on a global scale. The Role The Senior Analysis Engineer is responsible for planning, developing, and executing one-dimensional models of electrical components, subsystems, and full vehicle architectures for 12V/48V electrical systems. This role requires a deep understanding of vehicle-level electrical systems and proficiency in simulation tools such as Synopsys Saber. The senior analysis engineer is also required to have experience is co-simulation and software in the loop (SiL) modeling using tools like Matlab, Simulink and Simscape. The analysis engineer needs to closely work with suppliers to get high fidelity 12V component models (e.g battery, IBS, aggregator, CCU etc). The analysis engineer will create systems model, perform simulation, interpret and present simulation results to stakeholders at critical program milestones. Analysis engineer will be required to interact cross functionally with a wide variety of engineering teams (Electrical Architects, Co-simulation teams, Validation, Calibration and Design Release Engineers) to deliver standard work, perform root cause analysis, compare analytical results to tests, identify analytical gaps and lead capability projects to close these gaps.
