About The Position

We are seeking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Guaynabo, PR. to lead and work on various Electrical Engineering and Power & Renewable projects. The candidate is responsible for possessing a deep and broad knowledge of engineering design in power and industrial projects in Puerto Rico and the US. Your role Work within a multi‑discipline team to develop efficient and reliable electrical design packages Providing support on project scope and estimating. Providing input to project cost and schedule. Controlling and monitoring design team Preparing engineering reports, review drawings, and documents. Preparing equipment specification and selection and performing technical bid evaluation and making recommendations. Assisting with field construction, commissioning, and vendor factory acceptance tests. Ability to effectively interact with other disciplines on multi‑disciplinary projects. Strong knowledge of NEC, ANSI and IEEE standards and recommended practices. Coordinate design activities to maintain project schedules, budget, quality requirements to ensure successful project completion. Assist in site visits and station walkdowns, estimating, and attending project meetings. Accountable to provide design activities in accordance with applicable codes and standards, including AtkinsRéalis's policies and procedures, such as Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance and Quality Control. Review for accuracy on electrical designs that will meet industry standards and specifications, and meet prudent engineering practices. Review internal and external designs for code compliance, good design practice and constructability. Coordinate design activities with other multi‑discipline project team members. Provide construction support including resolving site queries, attending site meetings, and performing site inspections during the construction phase of projects. Maintain complete project documentation with respect to engineering studies and calculations, all design packages, as‑built requirements and return data information. Maintain good working relationships with internal groups that support projects such as other engineering disciplines, Drafting, Project Management etc. Mentor and provide guidance to developing engineers within the department. About you B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering. M.S. or graduate level technical coursework preferred. This level may be achieved by Engineers with seven years of experience since B.S. or 6 years since M.S. Typical incumbent has ten to fourteen years of experience. Have solid engineering design background in power, industrial and high voltage substations (AIS and GIS). Strong knowledge in applicable codes and standards (NEC, ANSI/ IEEE). Have leadership skills to lead projects and engineering design team. Excellent communication skills with a focus on client management. Valid P.E. in Puerto Rico. Requirements
