Responsibilities

  • Manage engineering projects from concept through production, including resource planning, scheduling, and technical documentation. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Lead the design and development of complex electronic systems, including analog and digital circuitry, embedded systems, and electromechanical products. Oversee schematic capture, PCB layout, and system integration.
  • Ensure designs meet national and international standards (e.g., UL, CE, RoHS) and comply with relevant safety regulations. Maintain EMC and safety compliance certifications throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Generate schematics, BOMs, and PCB layouts; ensure design for manufacturability and testability. Develop and validate electronic interfaces with mechanical systems and embedded software.
  • Lead design reviews with all cross functional teams, and with production/operations teams. Capture findings and incorporate them into designs. Provide technical guidance on sustainable engineering practices.
  • Together with the Systems Engineer, perform research and hardware design on new boards and electrical engineering in general. Create documentation for PCB and PCA release. Follow release procedures and serve as a liaison between Engineering and Production.
  • Once PCBs and PCAs are manufactured, validate the design by bringing the board up and testing components and modules against the design and specification. Develop and execute testing protocols, perform root cause analysis for electrical performance issues, and troubleshoot complex circuitry. Validate designs against specifications and regulatory requirements.
