About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to support our government client on exciting and important projects related to our national security. What You'll Be Doing: While this effort does not involve performing actual construction activities, it will require close coordination with ongoing construction projects to meet critical deadlines, address logistical challenges, and minimize disruptions to operations. Personnel with relevant backgrounds in areas such as construction management, infrastructure planning, and financial oversight will play a key role in navigating technical, logistical, and financial requirements while ensuring compliance with the customer’s stringent security protocols and operational standards. This role will support the completion of a wide range of Electrical Engineering assignments, including such things as analysis of technical issues, review of technical documents, performance of field inspections, and development of technical papers. Evaluate, design, develop, test, and oversee the procurement, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of electrical components in medium and low voltage electrical systems. Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for medium and low voltage electrical systems across mission-critical facilities. Identify operational and security gaps in electrical systems that are a risk to mission-critical operations. Develop master plans and mitigation strategies to minimize risks and increase resiliency in electrical systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, third-party contractors, and other government agencies to install, repair, commission, and maintain electrical systems. Ensure compliance with electrical codes and industry standards through detailed calculations and developing technical specifications. Develop maintenance and testing procedures for electrical and electronic components. Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Experience in designing or assessing electrical systems for mission-critical facilities, to include battery and generator backup power. Experience with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, power metering, and electrical automation systems. Proven expertise with design and calculation software. Deep knowledge of electrical engineering codes.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret security clearance
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree or Professional Engineer license preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in medium and low voltage electrical distribution, infrastructure management, and power engineering
  • Good communication and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of word processing and integrated software applications
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Experience in designing or assessing electrical systems for mission-critical facilities, to include battery and generator backup power
  • Experience with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, power metering, and electrical automation systems
